First off, I want to welcome the new readers to Cheap Living Today. As much fun as blogs are to write, it’s the readers who make them worthwhile. So thanks for visiting. I love to have people comment as well so don’t be shy. Make yourself at home.
On a personal note, I try to post Monday, Wednesday and Friday with a few goodies thrown in for good measure. Lately I’ve fallen short because my new grandson, Asher Amos, is in critical cardiac care here in Orlando. He is scheduled for surgery next week to correct a congenital heart condition. As you can imagine, this was unexpected and has changed all of our plans. While his parents are dealing with this, their soon to be 2 year old is staying with me. We are trusting God that Asher will soon be home and Joel can go back to his Mom and Dad. Meanwhile, I will post when I can and let you know how things go with the surgery.
I do want to share a fun site for Freebies. It’s called Hey, It’s Free! The nice thing about this site is that it is well organized and up-to-date. They let you know if it will take a while to get your freebie or just what you have to do to qualify. I have been needing some new cloth bags for groceries. Instead of buying one at my local store, I have applied for two free ones on line. I am always glad to save the dollar and they are even paying shipping. :0)

After posting this, I revisited Hey, It’s Free and found a new listing for free lettuce seeds. If you are new to gardening, there is a tutorial on the Earthbound Farm Organic site. It’s fun, free and healthy with totally fits our Cheap Living Today philosophy. Besides, if you grow it at home, the kids might actually eat it.
Me again – Update on Asher, he had surgery to reconnect his aorta today and is doing surprising well. We are so glad today is over and that he can start to heal. Poor little guy is only 2 weeks old. I know his mom’s arms are aching to hold him.
