If you haven’t been much of a cook and suddenly at mealtime everyone in the family is looking to you, it can be frustrating.  That is one of the reasons I started this site.  My heart goes out to those who are having to radically change their lifestyle.  We are all looking for cheap nutritious meals.

I haven’t tried this company yet but they are getting rave reviews.  They offer generous sized samples of their soup when you pay the shipping.  Sounds like a pretty good deal to me!

I ordered some of this soup to try it and will report back on what I find.  This banner is outdated and I have asked them for a new one.  Shipping is now $10.00 which is still a good deal if the sample is as generous as the reports on their website say.

My sample of soup came yesterday 11/24. I made the potato soup for supper and it was good. I can’t say it is the best I ever had because I have a friend who makes hers with bacon, onion and chunks of potatoes. Hers really is the best but this is a fairly close second. It reminds me of leek soup. I added 4.5 cups of water to their mix so that gives you an idea of how much it made. My daughter put cheese on hers when she ate it. I will let you know when I try the other samples.

Our soup samples came too and potato was the first variety we tried first. They should have named it Potato/onion soup because I found it heavy on the onions. While eating this very nice soup, I kept thinking of different ways to incorporate it into recipes. It would make a nice chowder with ham with corn or fish with peas.

Not sure about the budget value of this food source. In effect we paid $10 for 3 packs of soup. To buy off that special deal, the price would be much more. I think the soup we got was worth $10, but not the additional it would cost to buy at regular price. Food prices just keep on going up in the store; so this could change soon. I don’t think it cost $10 to ship this package of soup; so the claim of soup being “free” is questionable.
